I'm just mad cause they said that they weren't releasing it to the consoles, and then we figure out that it's a lie.

I don't really care either way.

#7 - Posted by: aksuduud (Member) on 06-21-2009 at 05:20
they screwd it up anyway so it doesnt matter.
#8 - Posted by: Big_Daddy (V.I.P. Member) on 06-21-2009 at 07:26
It's not like it's an actual PC game. More like a demo it seems. Who knows, maybe they'll come out with a full blown BF1943 with ALL the maps and classes in another six months.
#9 - I can't afford one - Posted by: Jaja69 (Member) on 06-21-2009 at 09:05

#13 - Posted by: Cpt_Sniper (Member) on 06-21-2009 at 18:14
If you can afford a computer that can run MGS4, please, do yourself a favor...invest in a Playstation 3...You won't regret it.
#14 - Posted by: Cpt_Sniper (Member) on 06-21-2009 at 18:14
*theoretically run it, that is. It will never be on computer.
#15 - Posted by: Cerberi_Force (Member) on 06-21-2009 at 21:50
They have already screwed bf1943 up anyway making it download only not boxed, not to mention having unlimited ammo whih is a campers paradise.
#16 - Posted by: ma21212 (Member) on 06-22-2009 at 10:53
no thats not right if they want to play 43 they should get pc. i dont want a PS3 thires like very little good games for it. see wouldiint it be cool if they didint have exclusive games? y do they screw over ppl like that. i mean i understand its for competition but i hate it
#17 - Posted by: F1RE01Penguin (Member) on 06-22-2009 at 22:30
BF1943 is going to suck because all of the girly dumbass people who have consoles will fuck it up because their systems just completly suck
#18 - Posted by: brok (Member) on 06-23-2009 at 05:33
"if they want to play 43 they should get pc"- "wouldiint it be cool if they didint have exclusive games?" Which side are you on? you can't be both...
and #17 your logic fails on so many levels it's uncanny.
Personally I bought an xbox back when it was rumoured '42 would be coming to it. It never did, so I'm glad console gamers are finally getting some '43 action at least.
It's still not a real whole game though.
#19 - Posted by: GreedoNeverShot (Member) on 06-23-2009 at 12:19
Who cares bf 1943 fails. I will be playing Bf2 mods while they are playing that 24 player piece of crap.

Other, doesn't apply. Buying it for my computer box.

And moreover waiting for BF:BC2.
#22 - Not Interested! - Posted by: whisperz59 (Member) on 06-28-2009 at 07:22
Still waiting for the Offical Release for BF2 patch 1.50........Not the Alpha, Beta, Or Charlie.......Just the "FINAL GOOD BYE RELEASE KISSOFF"......
#23 - Posted by: 0rpheus (Member) on 06-28-2009 at 08:24
Yeah, they should first release the BF2 1.5 Omega patch and then do whatever the hell they want. It still p!ssed me off that the console kiddies will be playing BF1943 two months earlier than PC gamers, goes to show how DICE actually "respects" the platform where the Battlefield franchise actually started and where they got their first fandbase
#24 - Posted by: heydabop (Member) on 06-28-2009 at 10:05
0rpheus.
Think about it for a second. Every xbox 360 is near identical, same with every PS3. Now what about computers? Prolly very view are identical, thus you have to work on code more to make it compatible for different configurations.
Good stuff...good stuff...oh sorry I was drinking, anyways Operation Peacekeeper has posted some renders of their latest work

The C8SFW was introduced by Special Forces and british Ground Forces under the name L119A1. The C8SFW is a specially for Special Forces redesigned Version of the Diemaco C8. Nice, Battlegroup 42 has posted some renders of some new planes they're working on (and I'm back from vacation, so where's my cupcake? )
Quote:Along with greetings to the community We´re back with another news update to show you more new additions for Battlegroup42. The new version of Battlegroup42 (1.6) is almost finished, the whole team is very busy testing and just like our fans we hardly can wait for this version to be released and to play it with as many of you as possible. At this point we can tell you that a little surprise happened in the last minute, that we have integrated into the build immediately. But more of that in the next news - today we´ll concentrate on more new models and take you to the skies ! Read the rest...
The community links on every Network site has been compromised and they redirected to a illegal warez site.
We have corrected this but unfortunately we could not recover the links to restore them. As a result all of the links have been deleted to protect the people who sent the original links into us.
While this could be seen to be a set back we are taking the view that although this has caused all the staff some extra work it is still a good time for a fresh start as some of the links were probably dead ones.
Some site managers have already started restoring known links on there sites
We would like you to either resubmit any link you had on your chosen site and submit new ones.
You can find the link in the left menu under "The Community"
This is not the affiliates but the links. Here is a example
The good people at Clanwarz have kindly donated a 100 slot Ventrilo server to us all here. The server is there for all FileFront patrons including the Network, Forums and main site.
It gives a great opportunity to get know each other a little better and maybe even get together in game.
As you have probably noticed in the Left menu on most (soon to be all) sites the new Ventrilo section. You can join the server by having Ventrilo installed and user name set. Then simply click the link in the left menu and join the channel that want.
If you wist to set it up manually then here are the server details
Ip / host name: nyc.clanwarz.com
Port: 4220 <<< important as it is not the default port.
Have fun in there people and play nice.
Speak to you all soon !!

...to be a staff member here ?
Have you ever been looking over your favourite game site and thought that you could really help out ?
If the answer is yes then we would like to hear from you. We are now recruiting staff for all sites and hopefully some new ones.
Some of our sites are fully staffed at the moment but don't let that stop you from applying to join our very friendly team here.
If your preferred site is fully staffed you will still be contacted to see if you could help out on a different site. We will still pass your details on to the site manager for that site just incase they need a extra pair of hands.
So what do we need from you to join us. Well not much really to start with.
First you must be 16 or over and have regular Internet access.
You must have good understanding of English (this is for news items and so on)
You must own the game for the site/s you are applying for, with the ability to run custom content (for testing submitted files)
If your application is accepted then you will also be required to register on our forums and visit the staff section at least once a week as updates and requests are posted there.
To apply simply copy the below template into a email and send it of to network@filefront.com
Make sure you fill out the games section including the ones that we do not have sites for at the moment.

I hope that all those games at one time doesn't affect their quality. If they make all the games as good as they can be made, awesome. If not, EA will totally lose my faith that they aren't just in it for the money.
#5 - Posted by: EvilBunny (Member) on 06-14-2009 at 11:26
Not really...

#4 you mean you dont already think that they are in it for the money? wow.. i think DICE tries to keep it real but EA ruin it
#8 - Posted by: Lt_Johnny_Walker (Member) on 06-16-2009 at 02:18
I dont like it. Ive done some search here and there and its kinda like bf2142, except that it is in bf2's year. Not much difference in gameplay imho. And its only 2 factions just like bf2412. Doesn't seem like it will have much of a variety in vehicles, guns etc etc...........Not good whatsoever.
#9 - Sorry - Posted by: Jaja69 (Member) on 06-20-2009 at 15:02
Sorry but there is no bf3. I went to DICE's web and it said the only progects were bf1943 bfh and bfbc2. So there is no bf3!

Quote:Hello and welcome back to another update of Forgotten Hope. More renders for you this week, as we show off the Churchill Mk IV and the guns of Pointe du Hoc.
The Churchill Mk IV and its variants were modeled and skinned by Toddel. For the first two variants we have the Churchill Mk IV (armed with a 6-pounder) on the left and the Churchill Mk IV (75mm) (armed with a 75mm gun) on the right.
The Churchill tank had already been specified before the outbreak of the Second World War, so it was still designed in accordance with the old British tank doctrine of cruiser tanks and infantry tanks. Being an infantry tank, the Churchill was designed to cross trenches, barbed wire and craters, while its speed and armament were secondary issues. Read the rest...

What's next for DICE? - Miscellaneous Posted by: computernerd on 06-16-2009 @ 13:37 - Source: 1UP

Battlefield 2 News
1UP has asked some questions about new games in development, and DICE mentions a ship date for Bad Company 2, so be sure to read below
Quote:UP: Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was announced less than a year after the first game came out. Was a sequel already planned when you were wrapping up the first game?
LG: Yeah, there were thoughts around it.
1UP: How far along is development on that?
LG: It's quite far gone, and it's said to be shipping in winter, so we still have some time to go. But overall, when we made Bad Company, we built a new engine and had lots of challenges that we had to overcome in making a Battlefield single-player game for the first time. This time, we are so much better off with the tools chain, and with the knowledge of how to build good missions. So I'm having a really good time in the office right now playing multiplayer tests on a daily basis, and I'm going to play single-player when I get back. So yeah, it's looking good. Read the rest...

I'd have to wip out my grandfather's top secret Nazi-jacked Crimson Medpack of Champed-Outedness. If I remember correctly he explained to me that its a standard medpack, but with Howitzer 105mms instead of epipens. I remember a warning that it does more damage than good, but who knows, he's a ****ing old man. What could be so harmful?

I'd go for the AKMS that shoots missiles with lasers that shoot down other missiles and has a grenade launcher which fires nuclear grenades AND...
Michael Mikes is last seen being dragged away by men in white shirts and red bowling shoes.

Excellent, it seems we have some new ships from Battlegroup 42, and they look really cool, so please have a look at them
Quote:It´s time again for another update about the upcoming Battlegroup42
version 1.6, and this time we can tell you that the development of this
build is finished! Currently the final beta tests for this release are
being scheduled in order to release a build that is "as bug free as
possible". These tests are estimated to take about two to three weeks.
The focus of today´s news is the Navy and therefore our ship modeler Cabrio whom we not only have to thank for the British Tribal class destroyer but for three more unique, new vessels. Let´s begin with the biggest one of those ships, the Japanese light cruiser Yubari. This fantastic model replaces the Hatsuzuki destroyer on some maps like Wake and Guadalcanal. Our mapper Sarge Surfat even created a special map for the Yubari, so let yourself be surprised!
The IJN Yubari was the only ship of its class and marked the beginning of modern Japanese cruiser production in 1923. Its radical new design differed enormously from that of earlier ships. The goal of the constructors was to build a light, fast ship with maximum firepower. While displacing only 4075 tons fully loaded and reaching a maximum speed of 35.5 knots it was armed with six 140mm guns in four turrets. It saw first combat during
the Second Sino-Japanese War in 1937. In October 1941 it was moved to the Japanese naval base on Truk in the Pacific as part of the Japanese war preparations. In December of 1941 she was the flagship during the
Japanese attack on Wake and participated in the invasion of Rabaul in January 1942.
Other important operations she participated in were the invasion of New Guinea in spring of 1942 (were she managed to evade 67 bombs and 12 torpedoes) and the battles of Savo and Rendova Island (Solomon Islands) in August 1942 and July 1943. Near Buin on Bougainville she was severely damaged at the bow by an air dropped mine and was therefore send to the Yokosuka and Kure docks for repairs. During the repairs she got new equipment and weapons. The aft single barrel turret was removed and replaced by a triple Model 95 25mm AA gun along with some other AA guns.
In November 1943 she returned to Rabaul and escorted a troop transport to New Britain where she was again severely damaged by American bombers and seaplanes. After returning to Yokosuka repairs began during which the front single barrel turret was also removed and replaced with another triple 25mm AA gun. She returned to active duty in March 1944, mainly as convoy escort. Only one month later she met her fate: After she had dropped troops on an island group southwest of Palau she was torpedoed by the American submarine USS Bluegill. When all repair and towing attempts had failed she sank 24 hours later on April 28th 1944.
Our next model is somewhat smaller than the Yubari but not less interesting. In order to provide small naval vessels to most of our armies in BG42 Cabrio created a British Vosper Motor Torpedo Boat. It is armed with torpedoes, a 20mm cannon and depth charge launchers. To recreate the British tactic of dropping depth charges in front of enemy vessel´s bows to let them detonate beneath the ship we´ve coded the charges to act like sea mines, floating on the water surface for some time. Our Vosper MBT is of the 70 feet class which was produced from 1940 to 1942 by Vosper in Portsmouth. With three V12 Packard engines it reached a maximum speed of 40 knots. They operated mostly in the English Channel and the Mediterranean Sea where they mainly hunted merchant vessels but also often fought desperate battles against hostile torpedo boats.
One of those boats was the MAS of the Italian Navy. The MAS is our latest addition to the naval units and is armed with torpedoes, depth charges and an anti air machine gun.
Reaching a maximum speed of 45 knots it was even faster than the Vosper MTB. Currently it can only be found on our map "Operation Corkscrew" but you can be sure that it will be present on more maps in later builds. Out of all the countries the Italians used their MTBs with the greatest success. 48 of the fast MAS were available when WWII started and they were first used in the Mediterranean Sea against British warships and escorts, later also in the Black Sea against Russian vessels.
That´s it for today´s hopefully interesting news. As usual we would like to point out that we are always on the lookout for people who want to join our team, we are also giving modding beginners a chance. Especially modelers and skinners are very welcome. So please visit our website!
I am pleased to announce a few promotions for the network.
Mr.Funsocks, the lovable, huggable Network Administrator has been promoted to Asst. Network Manager and will become my right hand dealing with issues that arise on FileFront's game sites.
Goody10 of soldier of fortune files has been promoted to Network Administrator. FFxStalkerx of stalker files has been promoted to Network Administrator. Guyver3212 of WoWFiles has been promoted to Network Administrator.
The above three have shown fierce determination in ensuring that the network thrives and pushes forward. When it came to the need to add some fresh faces to fill in those ranks, it certainly wasn't easy to sift through all of the staff who easily deserve such recognition of their hard work, but these three came out on top and I'm sure you will see great things happen with them lurking about.
Congrats to all of you. Each and every one of you has earned this and should be proud!
