Pearl harbor, Oahu, Hawaii. December 7, 1941
This map reproduces the 2nd wave of the Japanese attack on pearl harbor. There's no flag to capture ...but 3 boats and 4 hangars must be destroyed by the Japanese before they run out of tickets. Americans have to defend 1 hangar at Ewa field and Bellows field , and 2 hangar at Wheeler. Also the U.S.S. Maryland near Ford island, the U.S.S. Shaw in the naval yard and the U.S.S. Summer at the submarine base.

One of the biggest issues that has plagued every Pearl Harbor map is lag. Many reasons cause lag and the ground texture is only one of em. All 209 tiles have been resized from 1024 to 256X256. That's why it look strange. Also, only 3 static boats in the harbor really help to fight down lag....
I've done my best to fix all bugs, but some of them remain.
-Dedicated server only works with content check disabled.
-Boats can be repaired from very far.
-Boats don't sink, they just disappear,lag festival when i set'em to sink.
-No multi-mods : when i set it up, codes became very complex, and the damn lag came back from hell !!
After about 4 or 5 months of work on this project,i'm totally exhausted with this map. Only the shadow took me a whole week to generate..lol.... Anyway, I feel satisfied with what I've done. There's still many spaces for improvements, but im not interested in working on it anymore, I've already done my best anyway. If you want to improve this map or add some models, skins, or just your suggestions and ideas: check the BFSP forum or Contact me for any help. Im keeping all archives and lightmaps in a safe place.
And to open the map with Battlecraft, you'll need this in your custom.lst :

map looks excellent, but it lacks surface painting. ah well, you don't need good textures to make a great map.
shoulda used FH....
I think it needs more american ships. In the real life photos, they where grouped togetehr in pairs (2's) and i only counted liek 6 american sips. But ti looks like a great mod.
DAMNIT!! I seriously wish I hadnt deleted Bf1942, cause now I cant find the CD Codes and such

YAY!..the USS Maryland....the only ship to have brought all her guns up during the attack, it's good you've added it, not only that i'm from it but anyways, this map is byfar the best Pearl Harbor map i've ever played, and i agee it should be FH

i have a multi-mods patch for this map ,but, it have been left out because too many bugs was reported ... And the FH version was realy hot !!!..lol... even with the boats damage system problem... If anyone here created an extension for any mods available ; please submit it to our forum :

I think the Transformer mod dedicate server is still running the beta 0.3 test version of this map and the owner doesnt seems to be around... do not join it with 1.0
just add .com's to the links...
why is'nt USS Arizona added?
i think it was th greatest achievement of the japs at pearl harbor to sink this ship.
ah well, ill dl it anyway.
This map actually reproduce the second attack wave of the Japanese Empire... The USS_ARIZONA was destroyed in the first attack ... so we decide to put the USS_SHAW, MARYLAND and SUMMER .... And also because of LAG problems we decide to put only 3 destroyables boats ...
Hope you'll like it as we do ...

would like to see this in Xww2.
I think it a very well done map, but the harbor needs to be bigger seeng how u can only fit a few ships in there and the textures are a lil fuzzy. other than that the map gets a 9/10 for trying as hard as it did

Have you extracted it to the correct folder? Browse through your BF1942 folder and in there is the levels folder, and it must be extracted to there.
No... i got it to work... but it only sees it on DCX for some reason...?
You must have installed it to your DCX mod directory. Move it to the following directory:
"EA GamesBattlesfield 1942Modsbf1942Archivesbf1942levels"

do more bots spawn than in the maps that came with the game? cause i see a lot of planes in the screenshots.
It just looks like more. On a vanilla BF map there would be some bots on land and water; however, in this map ALL JAP BOTS are in the air. This makes an awesome experience on either team.
Well it may be or maybe not, it is just your opinion. I like XWW2 more than FH in many ways.
