**First please remove All previous version of Merciless from your Battlefield 1942 folder.**

Just finished downloading and it says battle of britain has invalid data Application will not install set up will exit .I Tried to install it in a new folder same thing Help with another link Poss?

i wonder how a and dice manged to mispell a name of a japanese fortification (Mount suribachi) maybe they wereusing ll compsand they couldnt toogle screens to the internet and then one guy was like ok then lets see ifwecan use kinkos internet, Then the other guy goes nah its ok i think i know how to spell it plus no one will notice Thats what they thought in came the merciless team swoosh to the rescue, good job guys i love teh mod finally something knocks dc out of first
I had the same problem when first installing. It was a different map though. I restarted my computer after uninstalling the previous merciless, and tried installing again and it worked fine. I guess you have to restart for all the uninstallment process to bve done.

this mods beatting DC by 1500 d/ls at the moment
it seems to me that this mod is only:
reskin vehicles
new sounds for small arms
3 new maps with bot support and other original maps with added bot support
and i think there might be an AI enhancement mod but i am not sure
does anyone think the same????

Heres some of the improvements included since 4.1.4, not included in the readme.
Added unique sounds for every single tank, eack one has a unique engine and slightly different track sound.
Added in pain sounds. When your soldier takes damaga, he could curse in his native tongue or scream in pain.
Added new plane startup engine splutter audio.
Added new B17 startup audio and secondary engine sounds.
Added in close distance flak burst to help pilots hear it tearing up the plane.
Added in audio when a plane is shot down to 65%. You will hear the plane structure failing.
Added new Stuka dive horn, new gun sounds and engine sounds.
New audio for artillery - Priest and Wespe.
New audio for AT guns - Pak 40 and AT25
New audio for defence gun.
All new handgun audio - based on the real guns.
All new fixed gun audio - based on the real guns.
Real Katusha rocket sound.
Real AT bazooka and panzerschrek launch sound.
ShrapnelFX - shows when objects are hit by projectiles.
BloodFX - shows up when you shoot soldiers.
ShellshockFX - shows missed tank projectile results.
Plus loading screens for all maps and ai support for all maps,
Thanx but i tried all of the above what you wrote to no avail ,this is my second download first on had invalid data from battle of Britain .

you dont need to look up a server running MC1942. All you need to do is join an unpure server to benefit from the mod. Its called a client-side mod. which means only the client needs to run the mod, not the server. have mc enabled and go join an unpure server. you will be pleased.

Every vehicle skinned
Every soldier skinned
Every building skinned
Every object skinned
Every weapon skinned
Every map's ground texture skinned, or replaced (See Stalingrad or Kharkov)
Every sound replaced with the real sound (try the Katy)
All of these items were accurately researched by a dedicated research team.
Every map with AI support (including those which DICE did not include support for)
Every loader screen replaced.
A lot of the time it's the small details that make something more immersive. MC is *full* of these kinda details. For example, do you see any Zimmerit coating on any of the Tiger tanks in default BF? *I don't think so*
And, it works on any punkbuster enabled unpure server.
lol at the poor fella who wrote 'on ASE...no servers....getting ready to uninstall' Come along to the MC forums or the IRC room mate, you'll get any help you need from the MC guys (but, see what I wrote just above this paragraph for a hint) 
And folks, it's free. This mod makes an incredible difference to standard BF42...If you're unsure about it, my advice is try it for a week. If you're still not impressed, then uninstall...Although, if you play with MC installed for a week, then go back to regular repeating textures in every map BF...Well...You'd have to be some kind of *nutter*

I used to LOVE this old school mod when BF modding was in it's infancy...but FH has RUINED me for any other mod and set the standard just too high for these well intentioned guys....DAMN YOU FOROTTEN HOPE! 
And where do you thing a lot of the content in the FH mod originated???
Yes, the MC crew contributed to the FH mod, so that might help explain a few similarities, but the content in the 1.6 mod is largely "New and Improved".
...then congrats to MC, for it's progeny has well surp*****ed it's proud father. Let's not forget our elders!

The merciless forums don't have a BF section and there are very few posts otherwise.
El Al crashes to destop during load to a MP game. It works fine in SP. I've tried several servers and my own. Content check is not on. What's the dealio?
need to register in the forums to see all thread. there are a few good posts that could help determine if you got a good installer or not. I swear i'll become an HINDU MONK when merciless team releases an installer which doesnt give error messages,

I Downloaded it from boomtown And it works .ive downloaded it from filefront .no good .Also ,File planet no good .ck out boomtown for those who are having troubles like ive had with the errors and not installing .good luck
whats the swicher do?
It looks good, and it does add a lot to BF1942, but whenever we play it on LAN Coop, we get the first level to run with MC, but then we the second level loads, it is just plain old bf1942 again. What gives?

you gotta add third person view i loveeeeeeee third person and i like to see your player textures up close this games awesome except for innacurate weapons i mean historricly russians didnt use the lee enfield for christ sakes

Why should I register just to read through the merciless forums? I hate that kind of crap. I understand having to register to post, but just to read and review the threads I shouldn't have to register.
This corrupted file business has happened to Merciless in the past and often at filefront. Get your act together .

This is an incredible mod that offers the best. most realistic WWII experience that BF1942 has ever been able to offer. I can only imagine the amount of work that went into this. Hell, even the 3 new maps (which I have never seen or played before) are incredibly well done! To top it all off, they even took the time to throw in great bot support. Case in point - I had a Tiger tank methodically hunting me down for some 15 minutes in one of the towns in one of the new maps... it was the coolest thing I have experienced in BF yet! Thanks for a great mod !!!

Do we have to download all those texture packs on your website along with this mod, or are they already included in this version?
All BF1942 texturesets are included, were working on the RTR and SW maps at the moment.
Re 3rd persion view, we cant put this in mate, considered as cheating...
But we may add to MCSP, if it works as a stand alone..

good cause all i play preety much is sp (bad connection)
i dont understand what this does
I cant get in to any maps it starts to lad and just before I get it it gives me the data differs from server error,I was able to play a couple of times but nit at all now
i get the same thing, but only some servers. I remedy this by adding a few good servers could connect to and added them to favorites
when i try to install merciless version 1.6 i have an eror the eror is aberdeen 608.rfa this file contains data (ero21fc) I Install Bf 1942 original 2 cd and after battlefield_1942_patch_v1.6.19 and after DesertCombat0.7FullInstall and to the end merciless version 1.6 ho i dwnloaded to the Boomtown@Home Client and the file has 657 MB (689.389.610 bytes) please hel me.

Coax gun in tanks is lusing sound constantly, in co op aircrafts are more durable, have more health, why? In all maps skins are great but in Aberdeen tiger looks bad like some wrong compresion was used for its skin? And did you guys see that there is alpha available for skins which causes reflections. You practicaly throw out the effect from game, why? Planes look great with their underside reflecting, not to mention polished mustang. Sound bug and reflections absence is realy sad for such long wait.
still didnt find out whats so special about this?

Okay i know this is an old mod released in 2004. As far as i can tell though this is the Merciless Developement Teams last addition to this mod but Forgotten Hope has since released a better version of Forgotten Hope so now Forgotten Hope if not before has to be better now than Merciless. Anyway i'm going to download this just cause i have the time and having nothing better to do. When i have downloaded and played i'll make another comment from what i've heard about the Merciless Developement Team its very good hope it lives up to expectations. Though i'll keep in mind that it was made in 2004 seem i have almost all updated version of all mods SilentHeroes, Battlegroup42, Forgotten Hope, XWWII and the list goes on.

I Love this mod, it pretty much makes Bf1942 the way it should be without really changing it (in a bad way).
new weapon animations would be nice. plus a few screenies. going to the site
