Description:
After weeks of toil indespersed with useful feed back from some partial beta maps released two weeks ago, here is the finished product.

30 player COOP on 'near 32' player size maps.

Readme File:
Unzip the above to a temp working directory and follow instructions in INSTRUCTIONS.TXT

====== What's been done ======

I took the 16 player single player maps, upped them to 30 bots, overlayed 32 or 64 player boundaries to open up space (except for one), then added control points and equipment close to the perimeter of the 16 player pathing mesh resulting in a whole new experience. For the flyboys, where practicable I also added missing aircraft to the airfields even though spawn points were not necessarily close by.

The end result was much larger maps than 16 player with six to seven control points instead of only three or four. This altered the flavour of some to give a new perspective on a number of maps. Sharqi Peninsula being my favourite.

Sadly only seven maps lent themselves to the process.

These are good for single player or COOP play. For COOP play, one still has to start the game in single player mode and then have the others link to them via direct IP.

This mod will not alter any existing BF2 files

SWEET..Just what I needed to play on a "Lan" network...We (4) were pretty bum to find out we couldnt use BF2 Local Coop like in BFV or BF1942! Thanks bro. Bon Appetit

I was trying to make something like this last night lol, just got crash's tho.. So good job Two Thumbs Up!

I think there should already be Co-oP and full Bot support for all the maps!

I downloaded this and it started just fine but it always crashes to the deck top when loading maps..I reinstalled the game to put it back to square one but still crashed to deck top...looking forward to playing these and hope u can fix this...smile

I love you for this.... really, just finished playing and it worked perfectly... To those people who says it keeps crashing to desktop, remember, first run install.bat and after it installed, run "run-bf2". I love it... really... i do big grin

The mod is working find for me but on the Gulf of Oman map, the bots do not spawn of the carrier but the land base. Sucks that Im the only aircraft guy unless I land of the JSFs, die, and respawn back to the carrier.

Sorry for double post, but i forgot to mension that the localization isnt good, if you want to change it, simply copy the map localization from "modsbf2" and paste it in "modsCOOP_1.0". It worked for me big grin now, im gonna play the mod... big grin

Please note then either in the latest 2.0 or this older original 1.0 version, Gulf of Oman will always crash if you try to enter the CIWS (Pronounced See-Wiz in the Navy Close-In Weapons Support) on the USS Essex. I got the following error:

I have had the Su-30KK Platypus MEC Tandem-Seat Bomber controlled by a bot fly over a few times interestingly enough. It comes in handy you know. I mean we can live with it but with artillery bombing the carrier randomly to prevent plane camping on LAn, but come on, lol, I understand it's not high prioirty.

"Single play" mode IS COOP as well as single play.

This mod wasn't designed for non coop play namely "local game"

whenever i try to do the install it doesnt work it just brings up the install screen 4 about 1 second the it disapears is there any way to fix the problem
