Hi,
I'm farmerTom and this is a map I made. Its called Dune_Mesiah and is made for Battlefield1942. Its a conquest game type but with only 2 flags. My hope that with less objectives the battles would be incredable. The flag bases are set to 50 and as soon as one team takes the other teams flag the tickets go racing down. This map is as much about defence as it is offence, and team work will always be a winning component. It takes a long time for any and all vehicles to respawn, so you have to protect them. I liked Wake Island because of the villages (the way the buildings are lined up), haven't seen any other maps like it until this one. It's looking MIGHTY good and I'll give it a test run. smile

"Messiah" has two s'es =) I think.. But anyway, thats of no consequence. Your map looks absolutly beautiful, and I can't to d/l it (seeing as how my computer is being an ***** atm >.<wink

downloaded your map but everytime it tries to load the game crashes to desktop. Can any help? frown

It's for Desert Combat, atleast, that's what it says in that thread

The screenshots look amazing...but it would be even nicer to play it. I have the same problems scores of other people are having....it won't load. When you fix this problem, and include a better readme file as to the proper installation, I will actually play the map and vote otherwise. It's a shame, I was really looking forward to playing this map...

beautiful u cant go to singel player i think. u most go to multiplayer then create to go in dune... but then u cant play with bots (i atleast dont know how). if its not working... wait until monday after that im gonna create an server that only plays new maps(if i can download this file... i stop loading at 99%... iritating)

as far as ive seen its the most beautiful player made map. but i foud some details that could be fixed to make it perfect. the following hints are ment to be some kind of bug report and not to be seen as critisism(got no idea how to spell this word:-))

1.) in the german village, the ladder up the trees is reversed.

2.) the aa-guns on top of the bunkers are not fitting in the roundet recess. they stand in the louver of the bunker-roof.

3.) the basement of some buildings in the oasis are covered by sand...i dont know if this was ment to.
